Choosing your wedding dress
is one of the most important decisions you will
ever make. As the happy bride everyone will be
looking at you, so you want to feel good and know
that you look your absolute best on your wedding
day.
But shopping for a wedding dress can be a stressful
task. Not only are there countless different designs,
colours and looks to consider, they can be very
expensive as well. In fact if anything is going
to send your budget over the top, it will be finding
the dress of your dreams!
That’s why it pays to shop around before
making your final decision. Not only could you
save yourself a lot of money by doing so, you could
also find a much better wedding dress by hanging
on and looking at all the possibilities first.
So – how do you start? Firstly focus only
on window shopping to begin with. If you start
looking round in plenty of time this will be much
easier to do. If you go out with the thought of
actually buying a dress you will be more likely
to do just that. Make a list of all the possible
outlets locally that stock wedding dresses, and
go to each one to see what they have available.
You will probably find there are some stores which
don’t stock anything you like at all. In
that case you can cross them off your list and
keep looking. Make a mental note of the prices
as well; you could find that some stores are a
little too rich for your budget.
If budget is a very important issue you should
find out about the possibility of renting a wedding
dress as well. Not all outlets provide this service,
but clearly it will be much cheaper than buying
your wedding dress outright. Many brides don’t
even know this is a possibility, let alone consider
it in any length.
As you can see it pays to start looking for wedding
dress outlets well ahead of time. By having more
time at your disposal to explore the various options
and designs that are for sale, you can compare
outlets and prices to get the best deal.
This also helps to combat the lure of the salesperson.
If you are looking for the ideal dress at the best
price and you check out every possible outlet to
begin with, you won’t be tempted into something
you will regret. Be honest and say you are just
looking for ideas to begin with, to get a feel
of what is available. Don’t be afraid to
jot down prices – after all, this will be
the most money you would ever spend on an outfit.
Shopping around is definitely the best way to
buy, no matter what kind of wedding
dress you have
in mind. And if you were to buy a dress in the
first shop you visit, you would never know if the
shop just up the road had something a thousand
times better at half the price.
