One
of England's Premier Wedding
Venues, built in 1545 by
Sir John Wentworth, a member
of Cardinal Wolsey’s
household, Gosfield Hall
hosted Royal visits by Queen
Elizabeth 1 and her grand
retinue throughout the middle
of the 16th century.
Gosfield
Hall was remodelled during
the 18th century and the
magnificent Ballroom added
and the deer park landscaped
to become the family home
of the Marquis of Buckingham.
The
magnificent interiors and
elegant historic facades
of the building remain through
to today, when Gosfield Hall
entered another phase in
it's history as one of Britain’s
most sought after venues
for marriages and wedding
receptions.
The
rich elegance of the interior
of Gosfield Hall makes it
as unique today as it was
as a Royal residence in the
early 19th century. The Queen
Charlotte's Oak panelled
gallery with a 120 ft long
aisle is perfect for wedding
ceremonies whilst the Marquis
of Buckingham's former Ballroom
provides a stunning setting
for the reception meal for
up to 110 guests.
There
are also several grand and
ornate reception rooms, as
well as a private bar and
disco area. In addition,
21 luxury bedroom suites
are offered to you exclusively
for the night of your wedding
ensuring, the perfect end
to the perfect day.
Located
just 8 miles from Braintree
and close to the M11, Gosfield
Hall is easily accessible
