This
magnificent old Essex barn has been beautifully
restored and modernised to provide a perfect
setting for weddings. The lovely secluded garden
looks out over the Essex countryside, and with
soft lighting it is ideal for sitting outside
on warm summer evenings.
The
Barn, which is licensed for civil ceremonies,
can seat up to 200 people comfortably. It can
also be personalised to provide an intimate
setting for smaller groups. Facilities include
a reception hall, raised gallery and bar, a
caterers’ kitchen and a small marquee outside.
The garden and the Barn provide an ideal backdrop
for photographs.
You
are welcome to supply your own reception drinks,
and wine for the meal. There is no corkage charge,
which can add up to a considerable saving on
your day. A licensed bar operates in the evening.
The table layout is flexible and you are welcome
to decorate the Barn in your own style.

provide an extensive list of caterers, giving
you a wide range of styles and prices to choose
from. To help you plan your day we also provide
you with a comprehensive list of florists,
DJs, bands and other suppliers who we have
worked with. There is an excellent range of
accommodation locally.
New
from 2008 we now offer a competitively priced
mid-week package.
As
a small family business we can offer you the
flexibility to arrange the day to meet your
individual requirements. The Barn is exclusively
yours for the day and, if there are no other
bookings, you are welcome to set up the day
before, our aim being to make your wedding
day arrangements as relaxed and personal as
possible.
Maidens Barn is near High Easter in the heart
of the Essex countryside, yet we are only
twenty minutes from the M11 (Junction 8) and
Stansted Airport, so are within easy reach
of London.
