Live
music at your Cotswolds wedding reception helps to
create a great atmosphere, setting the mood during
your ceremony and the pace during your evening celebrations.
Consider booking a live band or singer, decide on
which type of music you want and what budget you
can afford.
Always
plan and book your wedding music early. Many popular
bands and musicians take bookings up to a year in
advance and will arrange for you to see and hear
them at another event or may have a demo tape they
could send you. You
might like to consider a classical pianist or singer,
a tribute band or solo artist or a professional
music artist booked through an entertainment agency.
When booked always ensure you advise the musician
exactly what you expect from them on your big day,
what your first dance will be and of any special
requests you have in case they need to practice.
Make
sure you request in confirmation of the time your
band or musician will play for together with confirmation
of your booking in writing. A receipt on headed
paper should be expected as confirmation. If
you are having a live band, make sure there is sufficient
room at your venue for them to set up and perform.
Ask them about the lighting and effect that will
be supplied, if any and ensure you make arrangements
for space and power. Lastly it's your day, so book
whatever you want...and enjoy your day!
