Yes! Pledgdon Barn on the Hertfordshire/Essex border is the perfect venue for your beautiful wedding reception. The barn is licensed for civil ceremonies. It also has wonderful catering on offer with options covering the drinks and equipment aspects too. We can facilitate a DJ, local band, Pay Bar, cake maker, photographer, florist, taxi companies and nearby accommodation etc.

In addition, you are given free use of this ancient barn for the day before your event for leisurely setting out, decorative purposes – which means there’s no frantic pressure on the wedding day itself, when you book Pledgdon Barn. Indeed, we only take one event per weekend – so you have exclusivity.

The venue is set in countryside with ample parking, yet only a few miles from 3 mainline stations and Stansted Airport (and numerous hotels/B&Bs). It is easily accessible for wheelchair users.

Ideal event numbers are around 80-150 for a sit down meal and up to 250 for an evening reception. We don’t produce printed brochures because of paper wastage, but between the website, your emails/ calls to us and your visit to the barn, all your questions will be answered.
